Yes, dental amalgam is listed as a hazardous material by
the EPA. Just watch the precautions that Dentists
take when they use mercury-silver amalgam for the
fillings in your teeth. The precautions needed to
be taken are much greater when you have the
mercury-silver amalgam fillings removed.
Mercury-silver amalgam fillings should only be removed
by Dentists with special qualifications and equipment.
